Kitchen Cleaver - 1084 Carbon

A cleaver that means business from the moment you pick it up. The 1084 carbon steel blade is thick enough to handle bones and joints without flexing, and the 90mm depth gives you a wide, flat face that doubles as a transfer tool between board and pan. It takes a surprisingly keen edge for a blade this substantial, and 1084 sharpens back up quickly when it needs it. The hanging hole on the spine keeps it accessible and off the bench.

The handle is Tasmanian blackwood, dense and warm, sitting comfortably in the hand under the weight of the blade. Brass mosaic pins add a detail that rewards a closer look, catching the light and lifting the handle from functional to finished.
